Meetings in person: With regards to Covid, those attending meetings do so as their own risk.  However, please do not attend if you are Covid positive, have a bad cold, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested Covid positive in the previous two weeks.

“Ruth Belville – The Greenwich Time Lady” – David Rooney

David is the Curator of Time, Navigation and Transport at the Science Museum – London and formally a Curator of Timekeeping at the Royal Observatory – Greenwich.

March 5th

English Lever Watches – Richard Edwards, Epping Forest

Horological Club tutor and member of the B.H.I. Richard will be talking on one of his speciality subjects.

Observatory Time for the Public from 1880 / 1970 – David Read.

Time and the history of science have always been major interests for David. Since retiring he has done further research in the history of technologies in both horology and radio and lectured on both subjects at the Victoria & Albert and National Maritime Museum.

Abrasives in Horology – Francis Brodie.

The club is looking forward to a return visit by Francis, whose workshop techniques / demonstrations always make for an enjoyable evening.
